WORKERS COMPENSATION—

Injury resulted from job

My client’s employer disputed that my client was injured on the job. At the Arbitration hearing, the Arbitrator agreed with the employer and ruled the injury was not work related. I appealed the Arbitrator’s ruling to the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission. The Commission disagreed with the Arbitrator and reversed the Arbitrator’s ruling in my client’s favor. The employer then appealed to the Circuit Court and Illinois Appellate Court. After hearing oral arguments, the Illinois Appellate Court affirmed the Commission. My client will now get the surgery he needs and has been waiting for. Well worth the fight!

CRPS related to work injury

My client’s employer disputed that my client’s complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) symptoms were related to a work injury. In fact, the employer and insurance company hired a well-known defense doctor to say as much. We proceeded to trial. At the hearing, the Arbitrator ruled in my client’s favor. The employer appealed the Arbitrator’s ruling to the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission. The Commission agreed with the Arbitrator’s findings and rulings. My client will now get the treatment he requires. Another great fight for my client!
